General Studies

Academic excellence in half the time!

Our goal in general studies is to build up students to be successful in learning at the high school and college levels, and in working in the world at large. Students keep pace with or exceed the levels of general knowledge achieved by their secular counterparts, and become fully fluent in the skills needed in modern society.

From Kindergarten on, general studies are taught for half of the school day. Math, English reading and writing, social studies, history, and science are part of the curriculum at every grade level. Technology education begins in Kindergarten and culminates in the eighth grade producing their own yearbook.

Creative, hands-on learning occurs in every subject area. Afterschool activities such as Robotics, Architecture, and Chess Club allow students to hone their general knowledge skills.

TDS students have gone on to become engineers, business owners, marketing moguls, executives, teachers, and much more. Whatever the future you envision, you can prepare for it at TDS!
